It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No, not Christmas! It’s awards season. And tonight, us mere mortals will sit back and relax with a glass of vino, as we witness the demi-Gods of music fake cry, fake clap, and strut their award-winning stuff down the red carpet. Here’s our top three performances to look out for:
3. Taylor Swift
She just keeps getting better, doesn’t she? Tay-Tay, with what has been a whopper of a few years, is showing no signs no abaiting. Tonight’s performance is a definite one to watch. Will it be Bad Blood or Blank Space? We’re hoping for a good old-fashioned mashup. What about a funky, safari-themed crack at Wildest Dreams?
We can confirm that the 25-year-old, super-mega-ultra-star will be showcasing her latest hit, When We Were Young. Okay, so we’ll run the risk of being killed for this but…hold your breath…not a fan of the new stuff! Having said that, Adele’s live performances never fail to impress, and we’re betting on a 20-minute round of applause.
1. Lady Gaga
C’mon Gaga, do something f***ing mental. Tonight, her royal madness will be performing, what is sure to be, a spectacular tribute to the late, great, David Bowie. It’s set to be a seven-minute, three-song medley. Gaga told the Hollywood Reporter: “When I fell in love with David Bowie, when I was living on the Lower East Side, I always felt that his glamor was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls.” Will she emerge from a gaint egg, tonight?
