So everyone is probably saving all their pennies and pounds for the festive season, but c’mon, your social life can’t take a total nose dive. At Monroe’s Live, Galway, ya don’t have to spend a bomb – some of the gigs this weekend are €10, and some are totally free! Steal. Deal.

Right, who’s on the bill?

Tonight (Thursday 3rd), 20-year-old Cavan singer Aine Cahill performs on the main stage. Cahill came to prominence during the Summer and since then, has released debut E.P Paper Crown. She’s awesome.

Friday night at 10 pm, Negative Creeps and Top of the Popz bring their brands of nostalgia to the Monroe’s Backstage and Main Stage, respectively.

On Saturday, your wallet will thank you for checking out two free gigs: Crossfire and Stina, followed by a midnight show from Electric Lemon (€10).

What better way to finish off your weekend than with bluegrass? We can’t think of one. On Sunday evening, 4 Men & a Bass will be rocking out in the Backstage Bar.
