CARRON are bringing their vocally charming and captivating show to the intimate and cozy setting of Monroe’s Backstage Bar on Saturday November 26th. Doors 9pm, tickets €10/€7 online.

CARRON are a celtic folk outfit hailing from Dublin, led by the harmonious sisters, Méabh and Mella Carron. They describe themselves as a folk-pop fusion, incorporating enchanting melodies with traditional folk tones and pop induced vocals.
Taking influence from both classic acts such as Fleetwood Mac, The Corrs, and Joni Mitchell, as well as newer bands such as Little Green Cars, Hozier, and Wyvern Lingo, CARRON combine a contemporary celtic-folk sound with elements of pop music from across a number of generations.

Formed in late 2014, CARRON began merely as a creative outlet for sisters Méabh and Mella Carron to record and perform harmonious duet covers of their favourite songs for family and friends. Coming from a musical theatre background and having both studied music and drama in college, they wanted to explore using their voices in different genres and styles, in particular traditional Irish and American Folk music.
CARRON released their debut EP ‘Roots’ in April of this year to stellar reviews from the likes of The Last Mixed Tape, and Pure M Magazine who awarded it ‘Best EP 2016’, and have featured on John Barker’s ‘Totally Irish’, Jim Carroll’s ‘On The Record’, and Spin 103.8’s ‘Plan B’.

The Nitelife team haven’t caught their live show, but we’re going to be front and centre for this Galway show.
