14-year-old Wexford native Stacey Breen will officially launch her debut single, When I Look at You, at the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey, on Saturday, February 27th.
The young, energetic star-in-the-making will be joined by a host of musical maestros for this very special event, including: X-Factor veteran Mary Byrne, Voice of Ireland contestant Kayleigh Cullinan, Glor Tire’s Kelly Davitt, Lee Mathews and a few other very special guest acts.
Stacey says: I’m really looking forward to it; I’ve been practicing so much and can’t wait to share a stage with Mary Byrne, Lee Matthews, Kayleigh [Cullinan], and the rest of the acts.”
Stacey recorded the stunning track at Donegal’s Newtown Studios under the watchful eyes of agent, Brian Cunningham and musical directors, Kevin Corrigan and Jim Corbett. When I Look at You was written by Hilary Lindsay and John Shanks – made famous by American songstress Miley Cyrus in 2010.
Breen – who cites her musical influences as Hello hit-maker Adele and country crooner Derek Ryan – grew up in the picturesque surrounds of Ferns, North Co Wexford, an area renowned for its rich medieval heritage and awe-inspiring landscape. From the tender age of six, Stacey’s parents (Aidan and Deirdre) noticed extraordinary vocal potential in their Daughter, and with the help of vocal coach Michelle Donohue, they honed her budding craft, which culminated in the talented teen coming second in the Your Local Star talent search, in 2015.
Tickets for this very special single launch are available from the Ashdown Park Hotel reception for €20 / Doors 9 pm.
