“Other Voices will host the most exciting music this year in back rooms, front rooms, bar-rooms, shops and churches from early in the morning to the depths of the night. We will welcome music from Ireland, England and America and showcase the bands, musicians, artists and writers that will be the soundtrack for 2016 and beyond. Be with us.” – Philip King, Executive Producer.

Each year Other Voices provides a TV and online platform for new and emerging acts with the IMRO Other Room. Applications for a performance slot in the IMRO Other Room reach over one thousand each year.

RTÉ and Other Voices will again give music fans the opportunity to select the artist for the final IMRO Other Room slot. Other Voices are currently inviting artists of all genres to submit a link to one video (it can be a video or a still image with audio) or link to one audio-only recording for consideration.

These links should be submitted through the IMRO Other Room Open Call application process on www.othervoices.ie. Artists have until 12 pm on Monday, November 16th to submit their link.

Those who like lively conversation will enjoy Banter – a salon style series of discussions and debate curated by Jim Carroll (thisisbanter.com) taking place in Foxy John’s Bar (half pub, half hardware shop). Guests to be announced in the coming weeks.

For eager music aficionados, the Music Trail will feature new and established bands playing in unusual venues around Dingle. All Music Trail events take place before and after the church shows, while live streaming from St. James’ Church guarantees a seat for everybody and an electric atmosphere in many of the town’s pubs.
