Halloween has passed, Christmas is creeping in, but bang smack in the middle, The Harbour Bar November line-up comes up trumps.
To ward off any signs of the winter blues, this month the Harbour crew are delighted to bring you a taste of some of their favourites, to whet your appetite for the season ahead. The best part is, they’re all FREE, how good is that? So let’s take a peek…
Kicking off the first week in November and puttin’ the boss in bossa nova it’s festival favourites East Coast Jazz Band on tonight (5th). With their own twist on Dixielandand Ragtime jazz, it’s no wonder they’ve been described as the “lively band with cool sounds from the sunny side”.
Southern Rock, New Orleans grooves, rockin’ guitars, is just what you can expect on Friday, 6th November from Dublin based four-piece Mongrel State. Hailing from Ireland, Argentina, Italy and Spain, their sound is a melting pot of influences. Skilled in creative songwriting, their energetic live performances are filled with honky-tonk and harmonies. Having recorded an album with acclaimed producer Gavin Glass, these gents are fast becoming ones-2-watch.
With their own special brew of Jamaican beats and Irish soul The Bionic Rats showcase their mix of Reggae, Ska and Rocksteady on Saturday, 7th November. These guys have already shared stages with the likes of Madness and Bad Manners and have amassed a huge following along the way, so get up front early!
With no shortage of Irish emerging talent, The Song Room Presents is a real treat as some fine new acts will take to the stage on Sunday, 8th November. Just remember – you saw them there first folks!
