Irish/Swedish outfit Navelin have released their newest melodious offering entitled Daydream―and we love it!

The track has been in good hands since its creation, having been mixed and mastered by Hans Olsson Brookes in the renowned Svenska Grammofonstudion (The Hives, The Sounds, Nina Persson) and with Michael Zauner (Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys) creating a striking animation to accompany the track on its journey.

The single has already made heads turn ahead of its official release, having being snapped up by MTV for inclusion in one of their lead shows Awkward. Navelin bring together the talent and vigour of five experienced musicians, hailing from both Sweden and Ireland: Elin Johansson (vocals), Fredd Jakobsen (drums), Andy Colbert (guitars), Martin Lajsic (guitars) and Rasmus Lindblom (bass).

For now, their chosen stomping ground is Gothenburg, the industrial gem on Sweden’s west coast. Gothenburg is hardworking and progressive, and it continues to harvest musical talent with the same relentless drive. The city has been the incubator for a cargo of world class acts; consider the tribal wailing of Goat, the slick synth pop of Little Dragon, the mind bending productions of The Knife, the soothing hum of Jose Gonzales or the raucous rebellion of Soundtrack of Our Lives; the list is long, and it continues to grow.

This year, sneaking up on you with a delicate sparkling darkness it’s Navelin Gothenburg’s latest star. Since forming in 2012, this hard working band have been tenaciously stomping their footprint up and down Europe to growing acclaim. The band mean business, combining influences from the indierock and alt pop scenes, and with CV’s that boasts support slots to U2 and work time clocked in for Opeth, Al Green, Wolfgang Flür, Andrew Weatherall and many more, they have wasted no time shaping their focus.
