Fans have long been anticipating a third instalment to the music video trilogy that began with ‘Paparazzi’ and continued with the Beyoncé starring ‘Telephone’. At the end of the latter video, Gaga drives off into the desert with her partner in crime, Beyoncé.
“I don’t know yet if that’s gonna be a part of this record,” Gaga admitted to Andy Cohen on SiriusXM.
“This record’s very different from the other albums, and it’s not a conceptual album, it’s really, really autobiographical, and every single song tells its own story that is related to my life in a very, very personal way.
“So I don’t know if [a follow-up to ‘Paparazzi’ and ‘Telephone’] is gonna quite fit into that.”
Gaga was also asked about rumours that she has been working with Madonna but declined to comment.
“I mean, there’s no plan,” Gaga replied when questioned about a possible collaboration.
The two reportedly buried the hatchet at the Met Gala last year. Madonna has previously accused Gaga of plagiarising one of her songs.
Gaga debuted her new single ‘Perfect Illusion’ last week (September 9). It was co-produced by Parker as well as Mark Ronson and BloodPop, who produced Justin Bieber’s single ‘Sorry’.
The new album features collaborations with Beck, Father John Misty and Florence And The Machine singer Florence Welch on her new record.
The singer has said that the record is in its final stages and will be released later this year.
