It’s Ireland’s biggest Halloween festival and it’s happening in the City of the Tribes this weekend. No-one does All Hallows Eve quite like Galway, so if you’re up for a few frights and pints head to the Abooo Festival. Last weekend, the spooky goings on kicked off with the always amazing Macnas parade and this Saturday night the Latin Quarter will come alive with a huge fancy dress street party.
2. Dublin Divils
Dublin Tattoo Convention – 30th-1st – Tickets
This weekend The Red Cow Hotel will play host to the 13th Annual Dublin Tattoo Convention; the biggest gathering of its kind in the country. Dozens of talented artists from the four corners of the world will descend upon Dublin to display their wares, and ink a few spectators while they’re at it. There’s also a huge Halloween Ball.
3. Sligo Psychos
Bell XI Acoustic Set – The Hawkswell Theatre – Tickets
The gang over at the Hawkswell Theatre say they are “delighted to announce” that Bell X1 are taking their Autumn acoustic tour to Sligo, Saturday 31st of October at 8 pm. The lads have been working hard in the studio recording their new album – the follow up to 2013’s Chop Chop. Also in Sligo (Saturday night at 10 pm) The Quakers play 5th on Teeling.
4. Cork Corpses
The 15th World Ghost Convention – Sunday’s Well – Tickets
At the annual World Ghost Convention, you will hear a colourful assortment of supernatural topics discussed by the panel of guest speakers, some of whom work in the field of the paranormal and some who will share their own personal supernatural experiences. For those curious about the supernatural, the Convention provides an opportunity to hear a variety of supernatural topics explored by speakers from different backgrounds and professions. FUN!
