1. Culture Vultures
T’was the day before Culture Night and all ‘round the place….Yes, it’s that time of year again when us culture vultures will be stalking our favourite venues in search of some killer parties. Friday evening, 5 pm – 11 pm, there’s going to be a shed load of deadly tunes, some fine-ass art, enthralling performances, and to top it all off, everything is free; and where is it happening? EVERYWHERE! Savage cabbage. For a full programme of events visit www.culturenight.ie
Galway City is about to get real racy, as The City of the Tribes is about to become The City of the Rides!
Skip, hop and jump along to the Roisin Dubh, The Loft@Seven, Aras Na Ngeal, and The Rowing Club for some seriously hot action. Better bring along a fan then. For the full programme of events check out the GBF web-site.
Since September 7th, The Dublin Tiger Fringe Festival has been in full swing. This big cat is celebrating 21 years as Ireland’s premier multi-disciplinary fiesta, bestowing live art, dance and spectacle across our Fair City. The finale on Sunday isn’t too far away so grab tickets to some very special events, hapening in over 30 venues around the Capital. Check out fringefest.com.
4. Sky Diving
After being introduced to these guys a few months back we were instantly hooked on their slow-burning alt-pop. After a hard (or soft) weekend, Slow Skies may be the perfect Sunday afternoon cure. This gig kicks off in the Rising Son’s Brewery, Cornmarket St, Cork at 2 pm. If you’re into the likes of Saint Savour, Adna, or French for Rabbits, you’ll love Slow Skies.
