There’s a big day planned this Sunday (23rd) in Arús na nGael, Galway, from midday to midnight, to begin raising start-up funds for Galway Tribal Radio.

Over 20 local bands and entertainers will perform indoor/outdoor throughout the day with lots of entertainment planned for the kids up until 5 pm. Lots of local businesses have kindly shown their support, giving some great spot prizes for raffles. It’s a chance to raise 10-15% of start-up costs in just one day. The Galway Tribal Radio team is determined not to waste it and hope you can help to make it a success.

It’s a five-hour kid’s event, so some chirpy volunteers are needed for a minimum of an hour (two-three max), that way nobody is doing too much and everybody can enjoy the atmosphere.

If you are available to help out on Sunday any time  between 12 pm and 5 pm, please contact GTR and let them know your availability – they can offer some great food on the day for your efforts. What else could you want only a full belly of Galway’s finest produce!
Even if you can’t volunteer, try and make it down to the event for a day of fun and frolics. There will be jugglers, magicians, face-painters and all that entertaining jazz!
The Tribal Radio ensemble had yet another great meeting on Tuesday (18th) and discussed funding plans between all attendees. A lot of great ideas were put forward and a private Facebook group was set-up to continue the discussion further until a pop-up office space for more regular meetings is secured.

The next meeting is on Monday, 31st, from 6 pm to 7.30 pm, in the Galway 2020 offices; so far the theme of that meeting will be presenting/production. If you would like to get involved in that private discussion page before the next meeting click the link below
