With little over eleven weeks left to go in Galway’s campaign to be shortlisted as the European Capital of Culture, the 2020 team are having one of the busiest weeks of activities coming up.
The 2020 hub will be coming alive with theatre, learning and community-run radio. Additionally, the Galway 2020 campaign will embark on its first international foray, when the recently formed ‘Galway 2020-London’ team hosts their first meetup later this month, in Clapham Common.
The Theatre Room is a monthly performance of one-act plays that began in living rooms around Galway – from Renmore to Salthill and beyond. The team are staging five original plays on the theme of Galway this coming Monday, August 10th at 7pm. The event will take place in the Cornstore on Middle Street and is absolutely free of charge. The performances will include anything from monologues to sketches and Shakespeare to interpretive dance.
