What’s cooking, good looking?
It’s BO·CO Bar + Oven, a new Gastropub that has just moved into Dublin One, specialising in wood-fired artisan thin crust pizza that take less than two-minutes to cook in their 500ºc natural wood-fired oven.
Working from a small menu of just nine pizzas right now, the team behind the capital’s newest and most stylish eatery are committed to “getting it just right“. Starters, sides and desserts will be added over the next couple of weeks, all crafted with locally-sourced produce – most of their stock coming from Lilliput in Stoneybatter and the Dublin veg markets around the corner. Now that’s how to do it.
There’s also a full bar with a thoughtful selection of craft beers, wines, cocktails and spirits. Lots to accompany their gorgeous grub. Wines come by the bottle or on tap from WineLab (Ireland’s only on-tap wine specialist). Located at the Bolton / Capel Street junction and just around the corner from Cineworld, BO·CO is a handy wee spot to grab a bite, either solo, or with the gang.
BO·CO has been defurbished and industrialised but still reflects the welcoming vibe of a Dublin pub. The renovation was designed and managed by the owner, Colm Bodkin. With the help of Harry Harris (steelworks), they made everything onsite and recycled as much of the old materials as possible. The tables are made from raw steel and the oak that used to be the flooring.
