We’re only ten days into 2017 and things are looking pretty good; but the gang over at the Dublin’s Liquor Rooms assure us that, on the nineteenth day, things will look even brighter with the arrival of two very special artists: ELE and Claire Z, kicking off a rocking year of music at the Capital’s hot-spot.

If quirky synth-pop is your thing, you’ve come to the right place. A face – and voice – to watch out for in 2017 is ELE. She recently just finished touring all over the UK and Ireland with Cathy Davey and has started the new year writing and recording some brand-new material. Describing her sound as “melodic, harmony-layered pop”, ELE already has the critics talking. She was selected to perform at last year’s’ HWCH festival, performed at Electric Picnic and is on the Ones to Watch list on 98FM’s Totally Irish show with John Barker. We’re betting this is the year of ELE. You heard it here first! Check her out on Breaking Tunes.

Part of the ever-growing R&B and soul scene here in Ireland, Claire Z is definitely one to keep an ear out for. Last year, she wrote, recorded and produced her first four track E.P. and is now set to immerse herself in the rich live scene here. Last year Claire Z graced the coveted Ruby Sessions, supported Hermitage Green and we’re looking forward to seeing more of her on stages all over the country. Citing Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill and Norah Jones as some of her influences, her song writing is cleverly reflective of this and her vocal – simply swoonful! Check out her debut E.P. here.

Live at The Liquor Rooms takes place once a month at no. 5 Wellington Quay, showcasing the best in up and coming talent from all over the country. There is no cover charge for this event.
