SHARE

Only two more sleeps until thousands of revelers descend upon the Electric Picnic Music & Arts Festival. It really is THE HOT TICKET of the entire events calender, and let me tell you, from what we can see, it’s going to be the biggest and best yet; hundreds of Irish and International acts are ready to entertain the masses over ten stages. With so much to see and hear over the weekend, we wanted to make your life a little bit easier. So, here for your viewing pleasure, are our Editor’s Picks for EP 2015. And in no particular order:

10. Ham Sandwich

Niamh, Podge, Dave, and Ollie will be opening the EP Main Stage on Friday at 6 pm, followed by a slightly more intimate performance at Other Voices at 10:30 pm. Top tracks to expect: WordsIlluminate, and Ants.

9. Columbia Mills

Bray boys Columbia Mills have had quite a busy Summer, rocking out festivals, music venues (and kitchens!) all across the country. Their novel brand of Indietronica is sure to impress at the Salty Dog Stage, Friday at  01.15 am. Top tracks to expect: Never Gonna Look at you the Same, Headlights.

8. HONNE

Fancy some futuristic soul? Yeah we do too! We’ll see you over to The Little Big Stage on Saturday, 6 pm. These East London BFFs are deadly and will provide a much needed bop around the gaf after a heavy Friday noght. Top tracks to expect: Loves the Jobs you Hate, Warm on a Cold Night.

7. Mick Flannery

We’re BIG BIG fans of Mr Flannery here at Nitelife and can’t wait to catch at The Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow, Sunday, 10 pm. Top tracks to expect: The Small Fire, Gone Forever, Evening Train.

6. MS MR

If you go down to the wood…on Sunday at 5 pm, who will you be sure to find? All the way from the other side of the Atlantic, electro-duo MS MR. Top tracks to expect: Hurricane, Painted, Think of You.

5. Roisin Murphy

She’s back! and we are so happy. The Moloko songbird turned fashionista will be ‘bringing it back’ to close the Electric Arena, Saturday, 12:30 am. Top tracks to expect: Overpowered, You Know me better.

4. FKA Twigs

This lady,Tahliah Debrett Barnettis, is INCREDIBLE live. She sings, she dances, she’s a little bit strange, but sure we love a bit of quirk don’t we? Catch her at the Electric Arena, Sunday, 9 pm. Top tracks to expect: Two Weeks, Video Girl, Pendulum.

3. Plutonic Dust

In the Body & Soul area, catch some electro-funk to wile away Sunday evening, courtesy of Plutonic Dust. heir set kicks off at 07:45 pm. Top tracks to expect: Triangulate, Night Train.

2. SOAK

The little lady from the North will start off your Saturday perfectly, with a few easy listeners. Grab a brooskie and skip over to Rankin Woods, 04:45 pm. Top tracks to expect: B A Nobody, Sea Creatures, Shuvels.

1. Florence & The Machine

Okay, so we couldn’t compile this list without mentioning a name that is on everyone’s lips. Flo Flo, after a brief hiatus, hit us all over the head this year with her amazing new album, How Big How Blue How Beautiful. Main Stage, 10:30 pm, be there! Top tracks to expect: ALL OF THEM!
