This week we’re tuning our ears into to Dublin pop-folk outfit, Hunting the Brave. After playing in different bands under different guises, both John Sadlier (lead vocals) and Hughie Devine (guitar) were already seasoned musicians when they created the acoustic, melody-driven band they now call home.

With honest, straight-forward lyrics and a classic songwriting style, Hunting the Brave create polished, authentic pop songs that tug at the heartstrings in a wonderfully bittersweet way.

Their latest single ‘Ultraviolet’ showcases the band’s pop sensibility with strong production values and a chorus you’ll find yourself singing along to in no time. Lasting just under four minutes, the track leaves you craving more.

With an album planned for release in the autumn and strong support from national radio, Hunting the Brave could turn massive overnight. We suggest you catch them in an intimate setting while you still can.

The boys play the Dublin Unitarian Church on August 27, at 19:00. Get your tickets from our events page.
