While meandering through the magical forest at Body and Soul Festival last month, we happened upon a very impressive pair of musicians, lighting up the Tree Haus stage with a melodious mix of electronic-folk.
The experimental-folk coupling known as Carriages consists of Aaron Page and Harry Bookless, who, in 2012, hooked-up as a recording project.
The guys inventively utilize recordings captured in and around Dublin City, to imbue their music with a warm and familiar backdrop. Recordings of: parks, museums, coastlines and naturally occurring sounds give their music an unusual touch that cannot be replicated with traditional drum machines or run-of-the-mill instruments.

Their latest tracks, ‘Roots/Significant Landscapes’ are available from iTunes now.
