A Thousand Horses have released a video for their new gritty Southern rock single and titletrack ‘Southernality’ from their debut album.

‘Southernality’, the single, is controlled by modern country’s pop genre. They aren’t doing anything different, but it’s a pleasantly fresh track. It shows the passion in which the band is about. And that is an important note. But rather than being an emotional track, it’s watered down country pop.

The singers rough vocals across ‘Southernality’ plays it safe, with a little edge. They’re selling their music, not making it for the love of it. There’s no experimentation going on.

The video was directed by Shaun Silva, which features clips from the band’s recent opening for Jason Aldean’s ‘We Were Here Tour’. This video captures the guys in their element.

The single went in at #57 on the Country Airplay chart, but only charted for five weeks making it their lowest single to date.
