Vomitface premiere their new single ‘Senior Pictures’ with The Fader.
The band have announced news on their debut album ‘Hooray For Me’ which will be out August 26th.
Jared Micah and Preetma Singh found inspiration from being trapped home during Hurricane Sandy with the depressing surroudings. They decided to write loud songs continuing on to creating Vomitface.
In 2014, Vomitface released their debut EP, S/T, and in 2015 they released their second EP, Another Bad Year. They landed a few tours and were mentioned on a list of “Hardest Working Bands in NYC” (Oh My Rockness).
Following the releases of their EPs, they headed into the studio to record their debut full-length album ‘Hooray For Me’. It was recorded in two days capturing the rawness and unhinged energy that they strived all along. Each song is sharp and catchy. The album will be released via Help Yourself Records.
“Hooray For Me’s lead single is “Senior Pictures.” The track finds lead singer and guitarist Jared Micah clamoring, I like the way you comb your hair/ I like the subtle way you roll your eyes with dry affection over spazzy guitar spurts and drummer Preetma Singh’s solid grunge beats,” says The FADER.
“There are too many bands in the world, most of them terrible, but all the shit makes the rare great band even more exceptional; Vomitface is one of those gems,” says Vice.
“Enter Vomitface, a band with a portmanteau filthy enough to make Mudhoney cower… this erratic bunch have some colorful ideas,” says NME.
