Excitement is building with just under two-weeks to go until Wexford singer Stacey Breen launches her debut single, When I Look at You, at the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey, Co Wexford. On Saturday, February 27th, 14-year-old Breen will be joined by some of Ireland’s biggest music stars to officially launch the fantastic track, When I Look at You.

Giving Stacey a helping musical hand on the night will be Ballyfermot belter Mary Byrne. The 56-year-old, former Tesco employee shot to fame after reaching the X Factor semi-finals, alongside One Direction and Matt Cardle. Since her time on the ITV show, Mary has performed for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during an historic state visit to Ireland, and shared a stage with Neil Diamond at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.

Also joining the stellar line-up is No.1 selling new girl on the block Mikaela Bonner. The 22-year-old Donegal native has been making some serious musical shapes with her No.1 selling track Suds in the Bucket – a song that shot straight to numero uno in the iTunes country charts two weeks ago. The Sara Evans cover also landed her smack bang in the pop top five, in the company of Rihanna and Adele

No stranger to centre-stage is Lee Matthews, who’s bringing some much needed testosterone to the night’s bill. Born Lee Mulhern, he cut his teeth alongside the likes of Daniel O’DonnellPhilomena Begely – and during his time in the States – Snoop Dogg! Expect favourites like Sadie’s Got Her New Dress OnThat Country Girl, and There’s Irish in Our Eyes.

Fellow Wexfordian Kelly Davitt will also bring her signature brand of fresh, energetic country crooning to the Ashdown stage. Davitt’s debut single, I Told You So, took the top spot in the iTunes Country Charts for three consecutive weeks, last year – a star that is, most certainly on the rise.

Stacey Breen – who says she’s really looking forward to the launch” – recorded the track at Donegal’s Newtown Studios, under the watchful eyes of agent, Brian Cunningham and musical directors, Kevin Corrigan and Jim CorbettWhen I Look at You was written by Hilary Lindsay and John Shanks – made famous by American songstress Miley Cyrus in 2010.

Breen – who cites her musical influences as Adele and Derek Ryan – grew up in the picturesque surrounds of Ferns, North Co Wexford, an area renowned for its rich medieval heritage and awe-inspiring landscape. From the tender age of six, Stacey’s parents (Aidan and Deirdre) noticed extraordinary vocal potential in their Daughter, and with the help of vocal coach Michelle Donohue, they honed her budding craft, which culminated in the talented teen coming second in the Your Local Star talent search, in 2015.

Tickets for this very special launch are available from the Ashdown Park Hotel reception / Doors 9 pm.
