On Sunday, February 14th, Dublin’s premier live music haunt The Workman’s Club will welcome New-York-based duo August Wells. The pairing is the musical project of prodigious songwriters and composers, Ken Griffin and John Rauchenberger, and has quickly gained recognition for their intelligent, reflective and soulful refrains, appearing on Other Voices and Electric Picnic; they also recently opened for Glen Hansard in New York’s Beacon Theatre.

Griffin is the creative mind behind legendary Irish Indie band Rollerskate Skinny. Their music has been described as, “strange otherworldly chamber music”, “Sinatra singing Lou Reed songs” and “The secret marriage of Willy Nelson and Lee Hazlewood.” Expect songs to walk across your troubled heart – this will be a magical evening.
